Introducing the first of your Keynote Guest Speakers: Patrick Foster

Patrick Foster is an Ambassador for the Mintridge Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to enhancing life skills in young people through sport, building resilience and confidence through sport, and creating awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing.

He is the author of bestselling book Might Bite: The Secret Life of a Gambling Addict, his brutally honest account of over a decade of pathological gambling addiction to recovery and beyond.

Introducing this years second Keynote Guest Speaker: Jonty Evans

Jonty Evans is a 52-year-old Olympic event rider turned Paralympic dressage rider and television commentator and presenter.

Evans competed at the 2005 European Eventing Championships, he helped lead the Irish team to the nation’s first-ever Irish FEI Eventing Nations’ cup victory in the Boekelo Nations’ Cup, and was selected to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Jonty suffered a life-changing accident after falling from his horse, Cooley Rorkes Drift, who is also known as Art. Evans suffered a serious brain injury and was left in a coma for several weeks due to the fall. Through the rehabilitation process, Jonty has held a positive mindset which he believes has allowed him to work towards where he is now. He has undergone the IPC classification process and now competes as a Para dressage rider with the hope of being selected for the next Paralympics.
