BASL serves as a forum for networking and collaboration among legal practitioners, sports industry experts, and professionals interested in sports law.

Membership Benefit: Access to several events throughout the year, including the BASL Summer BBQ, the annual BASL debate/drinks, networking events for emerging sports lawyers, and online webinars and/or in-person events with guest speakers on current sports law and regulatory issues pertinent to sports lawyers and related practitioners. Membership Benefit: Online quarterly Q&A/career advice hosted by two (rotating) BASL Directors (priority given to student members). Meet the Board/Director sessions. Exclusive opportunities for members to engage directly with BASL’s leadership through Q&A sessions, informal meet-and-greets, and strategy discussions.

Thought Leadership

BASL aspires to be a thought leader in the field of sports law by fostering innovation, research, and discussion on contemporary legal sports issues.

Membership Benefit: Share and circulate thought pieces, articles, research, and insights through the BASL website, increasing professional exposure within the sports law community.

Corporate members also get the opportunity to promote job vacancies via the BASL website and social media channels.​ Opportunity to co-brand/co-host/work with BASL on one event per calendar year, promoting the event through the BASL website, email distribution list and social media channels (additional negotiated fee payable).
