New Appointments for BASL

Following a meeting of the BASL Board on Thursday, 22 May 2025, BASL is pleased to announce the following appointments: 

Catherine Forshaw has become Vice-Chair (alongside Genevieve Gordon-Thomson), in recognition of her dedication to BASL over many years and the crucial role she plays and will continue to play in BASL’s work.  

Danielle Sharkey has been appointed as BASL Director for women’s sport. 

Matt Phillip has been appointed as BASL Director for BASL activities across Britain.  

Lloyd Thomas has been appointed as BASL Director for social mobility. 

Each of Catherine, Danielle, Matt and Lloyd will work together with the other BASL Directors, BASL’s members and the wider sports law community to promote BASL’s work and activities, both generally and in respect of these specific areas.
