James Eighteen is a commercial litigator focused on the sports sector and a key advisor to major organisations including The FA, the British Horseracing Authority, and Premiership Rugby. He represents teams and athletes such as Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden in disciplinary panels, the High Court, and the Court of Arbitration for Sport, with particular expertise in sporting investigations. His work includes advising Premiership Rugby on financial monitoring and a new Men’s Professional Game Partnership, and acting for Newcastle United FC in Competition Appeal Tribunal proceedings against Sports Direct. James also advises on gambling regulation and licensing and is recognised as a Leading Partner in the Legal 500 and ranked Band 3 in Chambers for Sport. He contributes to Sport: Law and Practice, Football and the Law, and The Sports Law Review.
