Adam Lewis is widely recognised as the leading sports law expert at the Bar. Ranked as the only Star Individual in sports law by Chambers and Partners 2025 and named Legal 500 Sports Law Silk of the Year 2023, he has acted in many landmark cases. He co-edits Lewis and Taylor, Sport: Law and Practice and co-authored Challenging Sports Governing Bodies, teaches on the BASL PgCert Sports Law Course, and serves as President of the British Association for Sport and the Law. Adam regularly chairs sports tribunals, acts as an arbitrator, and advises participants, clubs, leagues, governing bodies, and commercial partners before courts and tribunals including the Court of Arbitration for Sport. His practice spans governance, regulatory, disciplinary, doping, player and club disputes, and the commercial exploitation of sport, drawing on expertise in arbitration, human rights, EU and competition, and public and regulatory law.
