John Mehrzad

John Mehrzad was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 2005, and practises from Littleton chambers in Temple, London, where he is Head of its Sports Law Group. He specialises in Employment, Commercial and Sports Law litigation. He is a Chairman of the FA Chairman’s Anti-Discrimination Panel, is a panellist for Sport Resolutions and is regularly appointed as FA Rule K arbitrator. He was selected as an advocate for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. He appears regularly before domestic and international courts, tribunals and arbitral panels. He is a former international-level rower and national champion in that sport. Nowadays he merely runs marathons. Before coming to the Bar, he was a university lecturer, worked at the EU institutions, at law firms in London and Paris as well as in finance.
